Flint's tattoo
Beginning on the back of his left hand, a dragon's head breathes fire towards the elbow. Within the flames is an arched doorway, through which a small bird is flying. From the flames, the burning skyline of the city of Almas gives way to a nautical map with a dashed trail leading towards the Isle of Kortos before giving way to a rendition of the Fogfen. The tattoo is designed as a highly stylised sleeve, with each element meshing into another to create an intertwined tapestry representing Flint's adventuring life. The Gauntlight, rendered stylistically as a great eye (the sort you'd find in occult symbolism) is accompanied by the following images:
- A broken sword reminiscent of Storm's Mirage, each half suspended by an arcane rune. The runes interlink like a chain
- A large mushroom dripping some sort of fluid into an alembic, with various potions arrayed under the cap
- A muscular devil signing a contract using a typical quill, from which drips what could possibly be blood
- A humanoid, face obscured by their hat, among a storm of arrows
- A small arm brandishing a large axe
- A cracked symbol of Sarenrae emerging from flaming portal
- A stylish hat wreathed by a curled whip, behind which three daggers are visible
- A rendition of the Library Staff, broken into shards, as a distinct ring around the bicep
Symbolism:
- The Dragon, based on the Conspirator variety, represents Cordelia and her heritage sparking Flint's inital curiosity into magic
- The small bird leaving the archway is Rusty, the familiar that is central to the time loop. This is also Flint's Familiar Tattoo
- The burning Almas skyline directly references Flint's arson of his old gang hideout after they turned against his family
- The nautical map leading to the Isle of Kortos is the lirteral journey to the Isle, and likewise the Gauntlight is a direct reference
- The sword is Storm, it being broken is his death, and the interlinked runes represent the shared Arcane studies of Flint and Storm
- The mushroom is Theo, with his various potions and crafting apparatus clearly visible
- The devil is Tzaddi, implied to be signing a contract to Nali
- The individual surrounded by arrows is Morgeth, and her signature rain of bolts
- The small arm wielding a large axe, while done as a simple perspective drawing, represents Ebi-Taro's stature compared to strength
- The cracked symbol is Soot, emerging from a fire, and his dualistic relationship with Sarenrae
- The hat and the whip represent Rhett, with the daggers representing Calistria
- The cracked staff represents the effects of the Feeblemind spell Flint suffered fighting a Derghodaemon
