- we see a gorgon (medusa bc the writers suck)
- apparently their head snakes eat rats/mice, a fact that disturbs chauncey deeply
- theo puts on a sock as a blindfold as Eleri and Soot do recall knowledge checks (which theo does but doesnt rely any info)
- soot tries to guide theo but theo runs, they end up grappling and fucking about
- theo tries to make diplomatic contact with the gorgon and initative is called
- everyone but theo gets slowed 1, theo throws a bomb
- eleri summons blant
- soot closes eyes
- soot casts revealing light, but because of blinded he misses and catches theo, removing his concealment and making him dazzled
- lots of fighty actions and eleri shanks it to death
- we go through the door and see our favourite boy! Gromblo!
- HE CAN FUCKING SPEAK
- he gives us some riddles
- one for theo: “Upon my skin, runes are writ. Drink from me, and fate is lit. I hold what is cursed, yet you will seek me out. What Am I? ”
- Answer: A Cursed Chalice
- one for Eleri: “I watch in silence, my face of stone. Once worshiped, now alone. Kings and peasants seek my gaze, but fear to meet it all their days. What am I? ”
- Answer: An Idol (of a old god)
- one for Soot: “I am a path, but tread me not. I change and twist, yet I remain still. The stars know me well. What am I?”
- Answer: Constellations
- One for all of us: “Born of air and struck by flame, I travel swiftly, but never remain. I herald dread and tear the night, leaving behind a scent of fright. What am I? ”
- Theo correctly answers first: Lightning
- as a reward for us solving the riddle he fucking screams in our ears and attacks us
- its called a Nilith
- THE WORST FUCKING FIGHT IN HISTORY OCCURS WHERE EVERYONE RUNS OUT OF FUCKING SPELLS AND BOMBS
- BUT IT FUCKING DIES TO SOOTS FIRE ORB
