He attempts to fashion a stake lance. Lashing a dowel onto a rake stick, he whittles it down into a fine point. After making the 'Stake Lance' he stashes it behind the counter of PINS.
He then reopens the shop and reads the chronicle of cain
He heads back to the UEA and goes to the library
He looks for books on occultism and vampires
goes to the parapsychology section, there are books that mention 'Analyses of folklore as it pertains to vampires' and a couple books of 'famous incidents of haemophagia'

One book details the difference of vampires throughout different cultures
'Dracula' in western cannon, 'Hungry Ghosts' in chineese canon (creatures that drain you of 'Qi'), and modern vampires tales like 'I am Legend' (Evolved humans) & 'Twilight' (Softening and Romantasiation) & 'Shadowrun' Vampires (Altered DNA by a virus, not dead) & 'Discworld' (Vampires can become teetotal and not need to drink blood if they find something else to be obsessed about)
The historical books are quick thick and would need to be borrowed (Or stolen!)
Borrowing the thicker books, he checks them out and brings them back to his uni room
The librarian is glassy eyed and seems out of it a bit, he asks her about other vampire books and she suggests some media analysis of vampires in movies/tv. Turns out he has most of the historical analysis of vampires in the books he is checking out.
Back in the dorms, he reads through the thicker books. A book on Elizabeth Báthory, a woman who was accused of killing hundreds of women. Charged with 80 counts of murder, her servants were executed and she was imprisoned until she died in her sleep. Historical consensus states she was framed and didn't commit any of the murders but colloquial suggested she killed children and drank their blood. She is generally states to be the 1st historical vampire figure and the inspiration for Dracula. None of the books suggest ways to ward the vampires off outside of garlic, crucifixions, the power of god, not inviting them into your house, running water, silver, holy water, decapitation, sunlight, fire.
He then decides to google about the 'biblical cain'. Religious figure, Genesis. Brother of Able. Son of Adam and Eve. Offered God farmed crops as he was a farmer. God prefered his brother's offering. Out of jealousy he killed his brother with a rock. God punished Cain with the curse and mark of Cain. Cain had multiple descendents, most important was Enoch.

Looking at the syringe, he feels very wrong, it looks almost victorian. Like its been around decades if not centuries and reused.Inside is a almost glass drawing vessel which contains some dark red liquid. It looks like a unnaturally thick blood, Molasses like. It just feels wrong. Awful. It triggers a primal fear. Out of all the objects in the car, this is the only one that feels 'wrong'
Some quick creature runs out in front of the parked car, it looks like a cat. Getting out, he moves towards the ditch it ran into to try find it. Staring back at him is the beady eyes of one of the largest rats he has ever seen in his life. The rat lunges at him.
